The calm before the storm! Our First KOC Lunch after the 11:30 Mass was a hit. Free hamburgers and Hotdogs for the parishioners to help celebrate Father’s Day. No coffee and doughnuts here. Big thanks to the awesome OLL Hispanic community for peeling potatoes, making fries, and helping cook them. They even made enough for the 1:30 crowd! Big thanks to the amazing Murphy family as well as everyone that made a donation. God bless you all!
Many thanks to ALL who came out and also to all who supported our efforts raising money for the Special Olympics! We raised over $3,000 and managed to pull that 50,000 pound plane 25 feet in 12.55 seconds, not too shabby, boys!!!! Great to see so many new Knights showing up strong at this event. Proud of what we accomplished and special thanks to brother Walt for making this all happen.
Once again, we sponsored Birthchoice’s Run for Life. What a great organization and cause. Thanks for everything they do to support Mother’s and babies in our area. Knight Chris represented OLL Knights of Columbus Council #12025
Spring was in the air at the final Lenten Fish Fry, and maybe a few raindrops! Big thanks to Reed and family who rocked the decorations this year!! Thanks also to all the Brothers and parishioners who came together to make this effort a success! We will be able to support many great charities with the money raised.
Knights aren’t just about cooking pancakes and having fish fries. This is what it’s REALLY about. We use sweat equity to do Christ’s work. Catholic Parish Outreach feeds the needy in the Raleigh area and Birthchoice Wake gives pregnant mothers in need assistance. We also just donated $500 to Special Olympics. We feel like Santa Claus.
Welcome to our newest Knights Wes, Thomas, KJ, and Charles. We can’t wait to work with you in service of our Lord. May God bless all your works.
It doesn’t seem like work when you’re having so much fun! Huge turnout with over 280 fish dinners served! So many Brothers working hard everywhere! Thanks to the spouses for jumping in to assist as well! Unbelievable night! $500 of the proceeds went to Rise Against Hunger.
Knights joined the “A Day for Him” crew at the Food Bank of Eastern NC. Volunteers from Our Lady of Lourdes put their time and talent to good use serving the Lord at many other locations as well.
The First Lenton Fish Fry was a hit. Thanks to everyone who came out!, Fish, shrimp, hushpuppies, fries, coleslaw, mac n cheese and a dessert- Fasting has never tasted so good! Next Fish Fry is from 5p-7p on March 1st. Please help make it another success!
What an incredible experience for our parish and Knights. Knights were EVERYWHERE tonight, working AND experiencing the relic (arm) of St Jude the Apostle. St. Jude was Jesus’ First Cousin and touched Christ himself. He was NOT the Judas that betrayed Jesus.
