We had a fun time at the Annual CPO Food Pantry Pig Pickin’! Great food prepared by the Knights from the Cathedral Council. Great job, Brothers! It was nice to sit back and let someone else cook. Good music and fellowship, and some amazing desserts!!
Over 30 Brothers and their families along with over 800 parishioners attended the Good Friday service today. I’m not sure if our “Good Friday Family Promotion” program paid off or not but the church was pretty full! Four Knights even helped with parking during the live Stations of the Cross earlier in the day. Many of the actors came in character which added a special touch. Thank you, Lord Jesus for your sacrifice.
Council #12025 is proud to again support Birthchoice. Thanks to acting GK/ DGK Dan for stepping up to hand out the BIG money. A hugeTHANKS to Brothers (in the literal and spiritual sense) John and Tim as well as well as Tim’s wife- Jeanne who reminded us of the incredible work that Birthchoice does year after year. Thanks to all the Brothers and family members that came early, stayed late, and everyone that came in between to help. Thanks for wonderful support from the parish! Finally, I would like to give a special shout out to Brother Austin and his team of OLL students who were an integral part of our success. Thanks for a great effort by so many. We are going to do many wonderful things with the proceeds starting with donating $500 to Birthchoice for the great work they do.
It was a beautiful day to celebrate Life. The March for Life was held in downtown Raleigh today. Many Knights were represented including worthy officers from tne NC State Council, Several Knights also spent time today praying to end abortion. “Jesus protect and save the unborn.”
Thanks for the great support that we received for Lenten Fish #2. From the awesome folks that brought desserts, to the family members that helped make it festive, to the cooks in the kitchen and the ticket takers and fryers outside, to those who stayed for clean-up and of course all the parish and friends that came out to eat and hang out. Tremendous Effort All Around! Bravo!! The money raised goes to support the Parish, the School and many wonderful charities. Thanks again!!!
Congratulations to Knight of the Month Ian. This young man has been a Membership Director ROCKSTAR! Since his Exemplification, he has been an integral part of the Council and has had a tremendous impact on our communication to our Candidates and new members. We appreciate and honor your dedication and efforts. May God continue to bless your works.
The Grand Knight History of Council #12025 plaque was presented to GK Matt along with some of our Past Grand Knights- Kurt, Tom, Pat, Terry, and Bryant. It was presented by the plaque donors except Brother John. Thanks for helping make this happen. It was presented as a small token of appreciation and thanks to the men who have served in this role over the years. May our Council always find men who are willing to step up to this challenge. Also a framed print of Our Lady of Guadalupe was donated. The order is entrusted to her protection. It will be hung near the Knights’ plaques as a reminder and used during Council Exemplification ceremonies.
The NC Down Syndrome Gala was a success. So happy the Knights could be a small part of it. May God continue to bless their work. The Council even received a special recognition plaque prepared with love. Such a well planned and fun event. Thanks to everyone who attended and support their efforts.
