Knights of Columbus – Council 12025

We had a busy morning! The Council hosted Coffee and Doughnuts after the 9 am Mass. It was great to see Brother Pablo back. Please continue to pray for his healing. We held a Recruitment Drive and met at least 3 gentlemen interested in joining the Knights. We led the 1st Sunday Rosary for Life before the 11:30 Mass. And finally, we had a Brother on the alter, Brothers working as Sacristants, Ushers and even singing in the choir. What an awesome group to be a part of. Come join the fun! Vivat Jesus!

On June 28, the Knights at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish held a “Rectory Refresh- Grilling Fundraiser” with the goal of showing support to our wonderful priests. The Parish helped us raise enough to purchase new furniture and items to give the priests a place to rest after a long day of working to get our souls to Heaven. Brothers painted, hung blinds, and added new flooring, etc. to make it special. A huge thanks to Past Grand Knight- Reed and his wife- Honorary Knight Beth, for their leadership role and contributions to this effort. Thanks also to the Watke and Moore families for their generous donations as well as ALL those parishioners who made this effort possible. Thanks to the many Knights that ran the Fundraiser and those that worked hard to make the room beautiful. Finally, THANK YOU to Rev. Dr. Kenneth Oguzie and Rev. Nicolas Rapkoch for their enthusiasm and guidance. We hope you know that you are LOVED!

Thanks to all the Brothers who either worked at or participated in the Ministry Leaders’ Workshop today. It made me proud to see so many of my Brothers helping to lead our Parish. The Council sponsored the breakfast and made casseroles and fruit dishes, along with providing croissants, chicken minis, Duck Doughnuts and of course coffee, juice and a smile. It was great to see Brother Dan back. A special thanks to everyone that prepared and donated food- especially Brother Chris S. who made an emergency coffee run! Things could have deteriorated quickly. Word is there may have been some friendly competition to see which casserole would get eaten first. Results are being challenged.

We had a great time at our RECTORY REFRESH today. Big Thanks to all the Brothers that ignored the heat to help raise money for some new chairs for our AWESOME priests. We just wanted to show them some love!! Thanks Fr. Ken and Fr. Nick for joining the festivities and helping make it special. We will be going shopping soon! Thanks to our Hispanic community for ROCKING the fries for this effort- they were delicious! Finally a big thanks to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish for ALWAYS supporting our efforts- May God bless you ALL.

May we continue to be inspired by God’s grace for many more!

Help our priests unwind at the end of the day in comfort!  June 28th after the 11:30 Mass

The Knights of Columbus are raising money to replace the outdated furniture in the rectory living room. Our goal is to create a relaxing and comfortable space for our priests to kick back and recharge at the end of the day.

Come have some delicious lunch, and help our priests to have a comfortable retreat! Enjoy some good food & good people for a great cause!

Please consider giving back to those who give so much to you!
