Knights of Columbus – Council 12025The NC Knights of Columbus State Convention is in the books. We had 3 Knights attend and 2 Knights achieve their 4th Degree. We even won an award for Fraternity. Great to see the impact of our efforts on a larger scale. May the Convention inspire all Knights to live out their faith and continue to fight for good over evil.
Thanks to all the men who came out to support the OLL School. We helped clear out the meeting/ music room and help get it ready for a makeover. Remember our June Knights’ monthly business meeting will be held on the 3rd at 7pm in the school cafeteria. We would love to see all our Brothers there.
Knights volunteered to help prepare a space for the upcoming Walking with Moms in Need- “Baby Boutique” by tearing out old carpet.

Congratulations to Brother Phil for being named April Knight of the Month. He recently organized a group to assist a new mother move into an apartment when the need arose suddenly. Way to step up! Blessed Michael McGivney would be proud.
We had a fun time at the Annual CPO Food Pantry Pig Pickin’! Great food prepared by the Knights from the Cathedral Council. Great job, Brothers! It was nice to sit back and let someone else cook. Good music and fellowship, and some amazing desserts!!
Over 30 Brothers and their families along with over 800 parishioners attended the Good Friday service today. I’m not sure if our “Good Friday Family Promotion” program paid off or not but the church was pretty full! Four Knights even helped with parking during the live Stations of the Cross earlier in the day. Many of the actors came in character which added a special touch. Thank you, Lord Jesus for your sacrifice.
Council #12025 is proud to again support Birthchoice. Thanks to acting GK/ DGK Dan for stepping up to hand out the BIG money. A hugeTHANKS to Brothers (in the literal and spiritual sense) John and Tim as well as well as Tim’s wife- Jeanne who reminded us of the incredible work that Birthchoice does year after year. Congratulations to one of our newest members Jon for being declared the March Knight of the Month for his amazing display of fraternity to a fellow brother. He drove to and from Florida to assist a visually impaired Knight move to Raleigh.
Thanks to all the Brothers and family members that came early, stayed late, and everyone that came in between to help. Thanks for wonderful support from the parish! Finally, I would like to give a special shout out to Brother Austin and his team of OLL students who were an integral part of our success. Thanks for a great effort by so many. We are going to do many wonderful things with the proceeds starting with donating $500 to Birthchoice for the great work they do.
It was a beautiful day to celebrate Life. The March for Life was held in downtown Raleigh today. Many Knights were represented including worthy officers from tne NC State Council, Several Knights also spent time today praying to end abortion. “Jesus protect and save the unborn.”
