Knights of Columbus – Council 12025Big thanks to Brother John for having the courage to step up and lead a group of Knights to serve our Catholic youth at the Doggett Center tonight. The event was hosted by the NC State Campus Ministry. It was so inspiring to see over a 100 students come out and share a Mass and/ or a meal together. You could almost feel the Holy Spirit moving through the house. It gives this OLL Knight hope for the future!

The winners of the K of C- Council 12025 Catholic Citizenship Essay contest are in. Congratulations to our 8th graders for their outstanding effort with this program. They were asked to choose their 3 favorite Popes and explain why they chose them.
The Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids program was a success. Over 6 boxes of mixed children’s coats were donated to Note in the Pocket of Raleigh. Big thanks to Program Director Tammy for giving us a tour of the facility. You can just feel Christ’s love in this place. Volunteers help clothe children and families in need throughout Wake County.
Another fantastic Oyster Roast at North Hills CC Pavilion. The weather was perfect for Christmas cheer by the fire. If you missed it, don’t make that mistake next year! Thanks to everyone that did make it out as well as all our lovely wives for supporting our Council. Thanks especially to Brother Jim for organizing and donating the plastic sheathing to keep us toasty!
Congratulations to the Oyster Roast champion- Jim for being the November Knight of the Month! He is also one of our original members and one of only 2 Knights in the Council to serve as Grand Knight for more than 2 years. Jim managed to host it against all odds this year. This event is typically the only one that the Knights don’t have to cook. Fellowship never tasted so good.
Lord, strengthen our Seminarian and Brother Ben that he may hear your voice more clearly, respond with a generous “yes”, and grow in holiness. Keep up the good work!!
We had a great time at Breakfast with Santa. All proceeds went to the Knights’ Coats for Kids campaign. Some very special visitors were in town to make the environment magical. Thanks for another great turnout by the Council and the OLL School community.
Congratulations to the winners of the K of C- Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest. A special thanks to OLLS 6th grade, Mrs. Giandurco- Art teacher extraordinaire and Principal Leblanc for their outstanding support! Finally thank you to all the Knights that helped judge them- Especially Deacon Brad who assisted with presentation of the awards. Have a wonderful CHRISTmas!
