Coats for Kids 2023

The Knights worked hard to raise money for our Coats for Kids campaign again this year. We were able to purchase 108 coats. Thanks to all who attended the Breakfast with Santa and the blood drive, as well as all those parishioners who donated after Masses this past weekend. Thanks to John Moore for taking the lead as well as Jon Paul and our WGK Reed for their phenomenal donation of  an additional 100 coats plus 100 hats and 100 pair of gloves from Sheepdog ministry. The Note in the Pocket was overjoyed and assured us that they would go to children in need.

Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest

Congratulations to the winners of our 6th-grade, Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest. The posters were great and a good reminder of the reason for the season. Big thanks to Brother Vincent’s wife Brenda for her assistance as well as Principal LeBlanc for her support of the Knights. Merry CHRISTmas!

Breakfast With Santa 2023

Breakfast with Santa was a HUGE SUCCESS! Big shout out to WGK Reed Murphy and his lovely family for making the magic happen! Santa visited close to 300 guests. Paul Gates was a pancake cooking BEAST! THANKS to the many Brothers came out to help make it happen! Fr Pat and Fr. Ken came out to bless the food at each setting. Joyful smiles were EVERYWHERE! The money raised will go to support our Coats for Kids Campaign.

Blood Drive and Coats for Kids

“LIFE” is one of our 4 Faith in Action programs. What better way to support this idea than to give the gift of life, literally? We had 22 completed donations and raised another $550 from The Blood Connection for our Coats for Kids Campaign. Thanks to all the Brothers and Parishioners who came out to help achieve this and a special thank you to Walt for organizing the event.

2023 Annual Oyster Roast

Just a few pictures from the Knights’ Oyster Roast. We were having so much fun that we forgot to break out the camera until the end. Thanks Brother James for organizing!

November 2023 Exemplification Ceremony

Welcome to our newest Knights- Tom, Vince, Dan, Fr. Kenneth, John and Angel. An Exemplification ceremony was held at Our Lady of Lourdes. Thanks to all the Brothers who participated or came to show their support. A reception was held at High Park Bar and Grill immediately after the ceremony.

Knights Serve Lunch at the Annual Parish Retreat

The Knights and Hispanic community worked together to serve Guatemalan hotdogs, salad, fruit, drinks, etc. to members of the Parish attending the Annual Parish Retreat. We may not have understood everything we were saying to each other, but the smiles were universal. God is good, but these hotdogs were delicioso! The Durham Rescue Mission happily received the extra trays of food.

Fall Festival 2023

The Fall Festival was a HUGE success! The Knights went all in. Pizza, wings, fries, fish sandwiches, drinks, chips and the best burgers in Raleigh, donated straight from the farm by our fearless leader Grand Knight Reed.

ADay4Him 2023

The spirit of volunteerism was out in full force today. Knights set the tone by preparing a breakfast feast for all our special guests. Many projects were then undertaken around the Our Lady of Lourdes campus and beyond. Many trays of leftover food items were delivered to the Raleigh Rescue Mission, who’s mission is to help care for homeless people in NC.
