Congratulations to OLL School. They are celebrating another year of providing outstanding Catholic education during Catholic School Week. We cooked up a big pancake breakfast. The GK’s family donated some additional wonderful treats. Big thanks to them! Sorry there are fewer pictures of the humongous crowd and line going out the door, I was busy in the kitchen.

Wonderful experience at the March for Life in Washington DC. Thanks to fellow Knights John A. and his GK Steve, from Council 9880 for organizing the bus trip. Several different Raleigh parishes and Councils were represented. Many pro-life politicians also attended. They also mentioned taking care of the mother and child after the birth as well. OLL Knights support Birthchoice, Walking with Mom’s in Need, and a Note in the Pocket just to name a few great organizations.
We just wanted to give a big shout out to Dennys on Wake Forest Rd in Raleigh! They have the BEST comfort food in town and have supported our pancake breakfast for many, many years. Please give them your LOVE!

Council #12025 will be experiencing some chilly “Knights” ahead! Please join our team, come cheer us on, or consider donating to this worthy cause.. All proceeds will go to the NC Special Olympics.

The Catholic Citizenship Essay contest wrapped up today. This year’s topic was “What are the 2 most important virtues for an elected leader to possess and why? How can you determine if the leader has these values?” Ms. Dzingle and her 8th grade students did a fantastic job which made for some interesting reading. Thanks to everyone who helped judge them and all those students who participated. Congratulations Miles-1st Place, Kiki- 2nd Place and Theodore- 3rd Place. Prizes will be handed out when classes resume.

Council #12025 was able to deliver 7 boxes of mixed kids coat today to A Note in the Pocket. With the money raised from Breakfast with Santa as well as donations after Mass, we were able to buy over $1900 worth of coats to help children in need, right here in Raleigh. God bless everyone who’s made this a success!
We really enjoyed the Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest! Congratulations to our top winners in our 6th grade- Emily-1st Place, Catherine- 2nd Place, and Ava- 3rd Place. All the entries were great! Thanks to everyone who participated, OLL School for allowing us to host this program- especially Mrs. Giandurco, as well as ALL those that helped decide our winners.
Thanks to everyone who came out between the 9 and 11:30 Masses to help vote for our winners. The posters were great! Creativity is alive and well in the OLLS’ six-grade students. Winners will be announced soon.
Over 300 people came to have Breakfast With Santa. This year characters from “Frozen” even came by. Great food served by the Knights. We’re definitely feeling the spirit of Christmas now!
